Cause it looks like this one is coming our way.
Altho, its only a “B” class flare, you may want to back up your files with discs vs USB stick…

NASA is developing a “Solar Shield” to protect our power grids from geomagnetically induced currents, which are caused by massive CME events.
Although the solar shield (with wings) has not been tested, it beats wrapping tin foil around your head.
Well here ya go:
Those pictures where taken at Deep Lake in Oxford, Wisconsin. They are known as “Steam Devils” and can occur when outside air temps are at or below freezing and the water temp is still above 60F.
The Canadian Space Agency has put up a live feed after dusk of auroras happening in Yellowknife N.W.T. to raise the general publics awareness of space weather ehy. Right on Canada!
Tonight’s full moon is known as a Super Harvest Moon. As the sun sets and moon rises, it should give off a beautiful colored twilight…and signifies the end of summer and the beginning of fall.
The giant gas giant (no not Rush Limbaugh) Jupiter will be approaching Earth for the closet encounter in decades. So, if its clear out after midnight, take a moment from your fabulous time and look up to the sky to see this massive planet. The next time it will be this close is 2022…and who knows what in the hell we will be doing then…shit…we could even be dead.
I’ve been getting burned out on space weather as of late. Don’t know why cause its happening all the time whether I like it or not. However, there are somethings in this universe that re-charge our desires, creativity, thoughts, etc. This picture of an aurora taken in Norway during a crack appearing in our magnetic field has ignited my love of this planet, its sun, its neighbors, and beyond.
So, the charged particles have slipped through my crack and I am powerless to resist (that sounds so filthy….I love it). Hope the blow back has you feeling the same 🙂
Space has been quiet, well for space, but the I-Sun did let out a little fart in the form of a flare from it’s rear end yesterday. Click on the pic to see the fart in action.
Lucky for us, most of the I-Sun’s nasty radioactive gas didn’t reach us because it was on the far side. However, the cause of this fart may be a big stinky burrito sunspot, which is turning its delicious bean and cheese laden face our way within the next 8 days. Via Sun Viacondias! Suck Dick Earths.
This is not really space “weather” but more like a close visual encounter. Tonight’s full moon and the planet Jupiter will be only 6 degrees apart.
I am going to try and snatch a peek at this event. I need to be reminded that all the bullshit crap I am going right now really means nothing to the universe. So if you are feeling that way too…go out and snatch a peek for yourself.
Its a sad day for star gazers cause Jack Horkheimer, our favorite star gazer who rocked the universe in a members only jacket for many years, has gone up to that supernova in the sky.
If its clear out this evening, lift your head up and take a peek at some stars for Jack.
