This Hozpitality release is an archival release. I have had many clips, songs, and slices laying around in a folder called “Possible Bits” for a while. These are bits from all of our work from 2009-2016 (since the humble beginning of Hozpitality). I have been dragging my ass trying to get around to compiling these and cleaning them up enough to be presentable without over thinking them. This is what finally has come out.

This is a 33 track album and the reason there are so many tracks is because there are a lot of small incidental bits that barely last a minute. Great care and time was taken to order the tracks so they are not too cumbersome. I wanted to get everything in there and keep the variety lively and disperse things evenly, i.e. vocals, instrumentals, long tracks, short tracks, rhythms, tempo, etc. So the order of the 33 tracks is very deliberate. Some of the tracks have year designations in parenthesis. These are correct. The tracks that do not, are from the 2009-2016 era but year was non-specific.

Some of these tracks appear on other albums in more cleaned up forms. There are some bits here that appear INSIDE longer form songs on the album releases. This is why this is a piecemeal archival release. In some places you will hear raw extended mixes of songs. Pieces like this were included to show the time and labor involved in whittling the tracks down to what we considered an acceptable time length/quality.

One can hear the gradual acquisition of new musical instruments/equipment and recording techniques along the way, along with changes of personnel. This is the very REASON for Hozpitality.

This was a labor of love and a rush of memories of good times, laughs, and great creative spontaneity. I am more than proud of everyone involved and cherish these moments as some of the most fun times in my life. To those involved, I THANK YOU.
