Korg Monotron, Kaossilator, and iMS20 app for iPad

This is a bit from a day long jam session when Kevin and Mary. Kevin brought over a fretless bass and iPad with the Korg iMS20 application on it. We plugged in the iPad, my Kaossilator, and the (squeaky always out of tune) Monotron and jammed for the afternoon/evening.

I came away with 3, 25-30 minute long jam recordings. I spent time last night breaking them into 4 separate tracks.

1 is 3:29
2 is 1:22
3 is 9:39
and 4 is 25:18 (nice and long).

I’m putting up track 1 here. Tell me what you think! I think we’re getting better at this stuff. I particularly find myself listening to a lot of this stuff ON PURPOSE!!! (Imagine that shit!) It’s actually enjoyable.

Check it out. Track 1 from the Kevin/Mary/Cemego day!

It is NOT ALL THE INSTRUMENTS AT ONCE (for instance, the monotron didn’t make it into this one) but the other 3 tracks are definitely worthwhile. I’ll put them in the mp3volumes as soon as I’m settled with them. If you cant wait to hear them, either visit me or make a special request and you can get them off the FTP.

For some stupid reason I’m really proud of the noises that have been coming out of my house.

Here’s images and links to the stuff we used to make this noise. Click the image for a link to the site for each “toy”.
