Great Website Alert!!!

I’ve been killing myself with the Carpenters, Hugo Montenegro, Ennio Morricone, Herb & the TJB, and Burt Bacharach lately. (I think its the warmer weather that makes me go this way, as well and my age). I found these sites kick ass and feed the need (just click the logo’s to open in a new window).

Also have been really overplaying a lot Burt Bacharach (once again the warm weather could be the influence here). I’ve been spending too much time on his homepage humorously called “A House is Not A Homepage”. It’s worth a look just to see the cheesy picture of him doing his best Isaac from the Love Boat pose.

    She’s fillin’ it with soaps in ‘nere.  Get me one he’ll pay ya!

    Denise and CeMeGo pouring it on the busy boxes.  Really breaks up the kitchen.
  4. Left Turn At Venus(3:18)
    Sometimes, to get to the Expressway to Uranus, you need to make a Left Turn at Venus (because there’s no exits).
  5. Cute Accident(2:35)
    Just be careful you don’t drive over the curb.  It’s so cute, I love it!

    For your viewing pleasure when it’s too damn cloudy to see the moon.

I Got A New “Busy Box”!

It’s the red version of the Korg Kaossilator. What is different, other than the color, is it’s primary function. The Kaossilator is a Dynamic Phrase Synthesizer (or sound MAKER). The Kaoss Pad (also known as the MiniKP) is a Dynamic Effect Processor (or sound mutilator). So basically, I can make sounds now and then torture them with effects! This provides hours of entertainment and makes what would normally be a repetitive loop a little more exciting with trippy spaced out effects.

Here’s a 5 minute sample song I created. I went through countless different effects tricks on this track so you may have to listen to all of it to hear some of the possibilities. This is only a small fraction of what the combination of these devices can do for someone completely devoid of music performance talent such as myself.
