Dr. Steve Brule’s BVB
Been watching season 3 of Check It Out with Dr. Steve Brule. I’m a die hard fan of this “dangus”. Found his “VBD” at a store in Baltimore and had to snap a picture.
Also been enjoying his twitter feed.
The Trashing of Twinbrook Parkway
It has been a little over a year since I ended my 10 year romance with the garbage addled city of Philadelphia. I’m now living in the Rockville/N. Bethesda area. On my way home from work yesterday (walking to get to the subway), I noticed this scene on Twinbrook Parkway.
The question I have is the following (feel free to speculate in the comments):
1. Disgruntled office worker, project manager, tech writer, etc… with a truck full of proposals decided he/she wasn’t getting what they deserved for their hard work and pitched them out the window. I could have considered doing this myself many times. (The “take this job and shove it” theory).
2. Oops, I missed the recycling bin.
3. Should’ve put those proposals in the back seat instead of the back of the pickup. (The “used to carrying immigrant workers in the back” theory).
The funny part about this is that there was a street cleaner sitting at the side of the road less than a block away just idling with nobody in it. Typical!!!
Simply Beautiful!
This song represents my daily malaise as a technical writer. Yeah, sure, grammar doesn’t matter to those of you who do not get paid to mind it. For those of us who have to put up with and fix everyone’s poor excuses for writing, this song is for us.
Thank you Weird Al Yankovic!
NOTE: Do not correct anything on this blog. I dont get paid to post on here, so I can use any poor language or writing I desire. So F you! I am off the clock when I write on here!
Why 24 Hour News is A Joke…
Because it’s too much like a god damned over-dramatized movie…
You Know You’re In The Suburbs When…
This actually could be anywhere, but have you ever noticed what happens to left over pizza hut buildings? They get crazy businesses in them that seem really awkward and unrelated to the cheesy Pizza Hut architecture (the stupid tinted trapezoid windows and the dumb hut roof).
Check out the Used To Be A Pizza Hut blog. It’s a really hilarious and sad trend on business in America.
The only reason this interested me is because there is one up the street from us in Eldersburg Maryland, and I’m told there have been a multitude of failing restaurants located in it. The current is a steak house. The only issue I have is this guy’s website doesn’t include it,YET…. Not until I send in a picture.
Ohhh lucky us! They’re right next door to Mr. Tire. That just makes me even more hungry.
