This was all done on the Korg Electribe Sampler. (I haven’t given it a name yet. It’s labeled as Funk Ola1″ on the Electribe).
The track I made was influenced by the bass line in the following song by Kamasi Washington.
WMOM: Music of Magnesia
This has been sitting on the Electribe for months. I figured I’d let the Adobe Audition run and just groove around with it and just let my holiday and seasonal depression disorder flow through the trigger pads. This, of course, created the magic or madness I’ve named the “Wooda Womp El Grande”.
This is an image that I think best describes the song (if it had a video, this animation would be it). This would also describe how I feel after being sick with the flu for 2 weeks and the holidays coming up:
Curt Smith from Tears for Fears.
I like everything about his music. This is my favorite track off his new album Deceptively Heavy. This whole album is great! After 2 listens, you are sold.
Electric Light Orchestra
It’s a new ELO album. Who can hate that? Very ELO, which is exactly why we listen! Right? This is my favorite off of the Alone In The Universe album.
Beirut
Beirut is a unique sound. Love it or hate it, there isn’t much out there that is NEW that sounds like this. Unique! Different! This is the title track from the new album No No No.
The Dining Rooms
This is an older album (2003) from this Italian duo. Not a lot of lyrics on this album. I prefer when there is none. This is my favorite of the many good tracks on this album titled Tre.
That’s all I have energy to post. If you think this is worthwhile that I do this? Let me know!
Extend your finger and GIT DOWN!!!!
I used the Korg Electribe on this one. Sure to be a hit with a bullet! Right up da charts with The Stinky Finger!
(Move over Taylor Spears or whatever her name is).
The animated gif of Donald Trump (below) is intended to go to the beat of the song. Stare into his cold, dead, good, talented, sensational, strong, rich, and successful eyes, as you shake your stinky finger.
Fooling around with the Electribe Sampler 2 and Plogue Alter Ego this evening (hell, it’s better than drinking in DC).
Here’s the result:
This has been a very difficult year for me musically. Another favorite of mine has passed. This time it is Dieter Moebius. He is from the German electronic collective known as Cluster and Harmonia. I have highlighted their stuff before on here:
Here’s a live concert video with Michael Rother. Wonderful music.
Here are some of my most favorite tracks:
Speed Display
Deluxe (Immer Wieder) – I love this track like crazy. Total genius!
Dieter Moebius was one of these electronic music pioneers who sat behind a table of boxes and wires and made some of the wildest crazy noises anyone has ever heard. I have most of his work in my collection. I listen to it a lot when I’m in that Kraftwerk and Can sort of musical mood. His music inspires me to make electronic noises of my own. I think of him fondly when I create stuff for CHOB and Hozpitality.
This year has been very painful for my musical taste. Everyday we lose another and we are left with the crap that passes for musical entertainment that floats around today. Honor this man, and make some funny musical noises today!
This is a new pattern I created this evening calling Blinkin’ Asteroid. This was done completely on the Korg Electribe Sampler.
The triumphant return of the Hozpitality spin-off, Chob. Pushing the limits, of their former ambient/sound painting foundation, Chob incorporates more rhythms and sonic textures of radiance, and sinister darkness. Dive into the sea of exploration with the sonic exploitation of Chob II.

Inspired by this quote:
My interest in making music has been to create something that does not exist that I would like to listen to, not because I wanted a job as a musician. I wanted to hear music that had not yet happened, by putting together things that suggested a new thing which did not yet exist. It’s like having a ready-made formula if you are able to read it.
